The Documentation and Archive of the FSS in Madrid, consists of the following units:

LIBRARY

  The library consists of monographs (books and brochures) whose main concern topics: anarchism, libertarian movement, reciprocating movement, other social movements (ecology, feminism, anti-militarism, cooperatives, consumers, mov. City, etc.) Organizations union, political and social, trade union, social history, economics and literature.

There are two additional libraries: Resource Library, which contains a list of inventory and catalog of over 150 archives and libraries, public and private, related to the main themes of the archive, and a technical library on topics related to the subject librarian and archivist.

 

NEWSPAPER

  The Newspaper Library has two sections: one on the journals 'dead' (which ceased publication) to 2000 titles of headers, and another on the "live" or in circulation, comprising more than 800 seats. Most of the heads of both sections are connected to the world libertarian, alternative social movements and citizen movement.

 

REFEROTECA

There is a substantial list of articles from the casting to be made of the journals and monographs, which can be accessed by computer and also includes "dossiers" on topics of interest case (May 68, Transition in Spain, 23-F, etc.) and biographies by militant anarchists.

 

DOCUMENTARY ARCHIVE

   Organized by the Fund, its content is related mainly to the Libertarian Movement, their organizations and activists. The most documented periods are related to the Civil War to today.

Also includes an important collection of posters and photographs of the Civil War, as well as posters, photographs and other graphic materials and audiovisual support the later stages.

To facilitate the consultation of stakeholders, inventories are shallow, both computerized and indexed funds that still are not.

   

CONSULTATION

  The Documentation and Archives Service is open to the public, interested parties should arrange the visit in advance by phone or e-mail.

Photocopying service is available.
